The Butterfly in the Meadow

A Delightful Dance of Curiosity, Friendship, and the Funny Ways We’re All Unique

Step into a sunny meadow where laughter flutters on the breeze and friendships begin with a tap-dancing cricket and a butterfly with very curious toes. The Butterfly in the Meadow is a whimsical and wise tale of unexpected connections, charmingly told through the playful banter of Chris the cricket and Bella the butterfly.

Chris hears with his knees. Bella tastes with her feet. And when their worlds collide—between tap shoes, knee muffs, and conversations about what leaves, twigs, and friendships taste like—a sweet, silly, and sincere bond begins to bloom.

With the wordplay of Dr Seuss, the warmth of Julia Donaldson, and a wink of Roald Dahl’s cheek, this quirky meadow adventure reminds children that our differences don’t divide us—they make friendship all the more colourful.

A joyful read-aloud perfect for giggly storytimes, classroom shelves, or nature-themed bedtime cuddles, The Butterfly in the Meadow is a children’s picture book that celebrates curiosity, connection, and the delight of discovering we’re not so different after all.
